There have been some recent issues for people trying to use MyBackCheck.com to obtain a PRC. Some people with Sympatico email accounts have not received their invitations.Council staff have spoken with MyBackCheck they were told that MyBackCheck.com is experiencing a problem with Sympatico blocking their emails. As of 06Oct this problem should have been fixed.
Council is asking people who tell us they haven’t received their invitations to try to use a “hotmail” or “gmail account”. Hotmail has upon occassion considered the invitation spam as well, and you might have to check there for your invitation.
As of 07Oct, effective immediately, applicants for police checks through MyBackCheck.com can go directly to the website: http://backcheck.net/scoutscanada/ without requesting an invitation first from Scouts Canada. Results will be sent to the Council office by MyBackCheck. Click -HERE- for the revised procedure (and other information including a sample video).
