Congratulations to Nicholas Wadel-Turcotte
In a surprise presentation Wednesday night, Nicholas was presented with the Medal of the Maple for Distinguished Youth Service at a Linking Activity with the 1st Lexington Cubs, Scouts and Venturers.
This award was created by the National Youth Committee, and is designed to honour those Youth who have significantly contributed to the Movement and the spirit of Scouting through community service, extraordinary Scouting participation and a solid system of personal values.
Nicholas is a long time 1st Lexington member; starting with Beavers and moving all the way through to Venturers. He is a founding member of the 1st Hope Lutheran Venturer Company, and gives back to 1st Lexington as a Scouter-in-Training with the Beavers. Nicholas has earned his Chief Scout Award, Queen’s Venturer Award, Duke of Edinburgh (Silver) and his Colony Woodbadge Part II.

Nicholas also serve the broader Scouting Community as the Area Youth Commissioner for North Waterloo. He is working hard to build the Area Youth Network and ensuring the Youth are properly represented in his Area.
