Hello Brampton Scouters,
For the past couple of years we have had the opportunity to be a part of the City of Brampton’s CeleBrampton event that is held at Gage Park. This year’s event is being held Saturday June 13th from 11-4. We set up in the Kids Zone and have the opportunity to interact with parents and youth from all over the city and surrounding areas. Last year the event attracted nearly 35,000 people.
We are looking for Scouters and senior youth from all groups to help us with the event. We will be setting up a Cub Car track and allowing younger youth to decorate Beaver Buggies and race them down the track. This also gives us ample time to speak with the parents and recruit them to our program. We will be set up in Gage Park in downtown Brampton and will require help throughout the entire day. We will need a handful of individuals to help us with setting up, lots of people to help out during the event, and then people to help with clean up and packing up.
This is a great opportunity to showcase Scouting and help us all recruit new members for the upcoming Scouting year.
Please let me know when you can help us out throughout the day and we will work to create a schedule that only requires a couple hours of everyone’s time.
