North Waterloo Area is seeking nominations for a dynamic action-oriented volunteer for the position of Area Commissioner. This is a position that requires 18-24 hours per month on average.
The Area Commissioner (a registered member of Scouts Canada) is the recognized point of contact on issues of program evaluation and support. The successful candidate is to be committed to the Scouts Canada Five Focus Areas, Growth & Retention, Safety, Group Capacity, Volunteer Support Toolkit, and the ongoing rollout of the Canadian Path
Working closely with the Council Commissioner, Area Youth Commissioner, the Area Service Manager, and a team of volunteers, the Area Commissioner is responsible for supporting Scouting Groups who serve over 1000 youth every year.
