Congratulations to all of our Award Recipients!

On Sunday, June 12th, 2016, Central Escarpment Council held its annual Council Youth Recognition Ceremony, hosted by Burlington Area this year, to recognize youth in the council for their fantastic achievements throughout the past year.

This year, we had a total of 57 Chief Scout Award achievers, 21 Queen’s Venturer Award achievers, and 2 Medal of the Maple achievers. At the ceremony, we also recognized the 2015 Amory Adventure Award winners. This was very exciting, as two groups from CEC placed in the top three! The Amory Adventure Award is an award that goes to the Venturer Scout Company in Canada which displays the most initiative in conceiving, planning, and executing an awesome outdoor adventure activity. Congratulations to 4th Trafalgar for placing first, and to 31st Burlington for placing third! Both groups planned exciting trips, and should be proud of the hard work they put into their trips and logs.

I would like to extend another congratulations and large round of applause to all the youth who were recognized this past Sunday! Your hard work and effort does not go unnoticed, and your commitment and determination to achieve these awards is extraordinary. I hope you are all proud of what you have accomplished. I wish everyone continued success in their future endeavors and upcoming adventures!

Yours in Scouting,
