Community Bicycle Safety Rodeo

Save the date folks!  There will be a free Community Bicycle Safety Rodeo taking place at Hillcrest Church.  This is a great opportunity to learn about bicycle safety and make adjustments to your bicycles to ensure they are in tip-top condition.  Here are the details:

 When: Saturday, October 1st from 10.30am – 1.00pm

Where: Hillcrest United Church, 8958 Trafalgar Road (opens in Google Maps)

Who: Ages 5-14 and we’d love to have as many Beavers, Cubs & Scouts as possible

What: There will be a station to ensure your bike is in the best condition.  Adjustments, if required, can be performed there. Halton Public Health Department will be on hand to talk about safety.  Helmets and how to wear them correctly.  There will be 6 separate tests to check your abilities and skills riding in different situations.  Halton Police will be in attendance to encourage and teach the laws of safe riding in Halton Region.  The last test is a simulated “real world ride” where you will show the things you have learned and we will finish with a certificate and refreshments.

Why: Because safety is important!

Cost: Absolutely free of charge!

Required Equipment: A bike, a helmet and a desire to have fun

If you would like your group to go through at once (as an organized group) you can call me and I will attempt to book a specific time-slot.

Any further inquiries please don’t hesitate to call me.
