BSSR – Cub Scouts World Environment Camp

Weekend of September 27-29, 2019

  • Ebor Park
  • Camp Fee is $30 for Youth and $15 for Scouters
    (Registration Fee includes the cost of the World Environment Camp Crest)
  • Groups should set up in Ebor Park between 6:30 – 9 p.m. Friday evening. Departure is after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday after Scouts Own. Each group is to arrive self-contained.

This year we will offer a variety of activities especially tailored to meet the WORLD SCOUT ENVIRONMENT AWARD (WSEA) for CUBS!

  • Activities on Saturday offer Recycling Meets STEM, Climate Change, and Leave No Trace.
  • For those returning to Environment Camp, there will be different Activity Centres, including Natural Disasters, Building an Emergency Shelter, Planning for an Emergency, Using Natural Habitat for Food & Water.
  • Your youth are invited to participate in the campfire on Saturday night.
  • We are reminding you that Blue Springs Scout Reserve offers marked trails and an outdoor obstacle course and eco-friendly practices.
    Youth can earn credit toward Personal Achievement Badges for Earth, Air, Water and Science through participation in these activities and also meet requirements for Environment & Outdoors, Active & Healthy Living, Citizenship and Creative Expression, Belief & Values programs and use of S.T.E.M approaches supplied by The Canadian Path.
  • Although Pack units may vary in what they offer to youth while at Blue Springs, youth can also earn credit toward Levels 1-4 of Camping Skills, Trail Skills, Emergency Aid and Scoutcraft in Outdoor Skills. Each Cub Scout gets a personalized list of skills achieved toward the World Scout Environment Award – Cubs to take home.
