Back by popular demand, Mississauga and Wellington Areas again present the Skills and Permits Camp. This year dates are November 3rd thru 5th at Camp Everton. Please read the flyer referenced below and register ASAP. We have seen 300+ participants attend previously.
Our team of Scouters have joined forces to help your Troop members earn all four permits; knife, stove & lantern, match & fire and axe & saw. For any new Scouters this is a great way for you to increase your knowledge of these skills. Sessions with small groups of people and multiple trainers will be run for each permit. Sessions on basic pioneering knots and lashings will also be offered.
More Trainers (and Offer of Service assistance) always welcome and needed! Any active, registered Resource Scouter, Venturer Scout and Rover Scout is Welcome!! Please email the camp registrar with the skill you would be happy to assist with TODAY!!!

Every year Central Escarpment partners with Kerry’s Place Autism Services and the Kiwanis Club of Mississauga to deliver day camps and residential camps for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Over 800 young people have benefitted to date. We were even able to expand the program this year. In order to ensure that families can take part with a minimal financial burden, we raise funds annually through a golf tournament.
We need your help!
If you golf, join us for a great day!
If you can access prize donations for our golfers or raffle, it will be much appreciated!
If the business you work for may be interested in a sponsorship donation, it will also be appreciated.
Help us give these special young people a memory of a lifetime!”

At this time it is also our pleasure to introduce Mark Wyatt as the new Area Commissioner for Credit Hills.
Mark was a youth participant in the Hamilton-Wentworth area, and enjoyed the Beaver, Cub and Venture sections. When Mark’s sons enrolled in Scouting, he wanted to follow in his father Alan’s footsteps and become a Scouter for his son’s sections. Mark started scouting with the 4th Georgetown Colonies in 2014 and has been a contact scouter for the past two years. In May of 2016 he earned his Wood Badge II. Mark has volunteered with many non-profit organizations, is an active Hockey coach in Halton Hills, and is the recipient of the Canada 125 Medal. Mark has worked for Gordon Food Service for the past 20 years where he currently holds the position as a Digital Product Lead. Mark lives in Georgetown with his sons Spencer and Grayson.
Please help us in congratulating and providing a warm reception for Mark as he takes on this new role.
