This Giving Tuesday, give ‘Thanks’ to those who have made Scouting possible for you

This was written originally on the Scouting Life Website

Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but did you know about Giving Tuesday on November 29, 2016?

Giving Tuesday is a new movement in Canada for giving and volunteering. Taking place each year after Cyber Monday, it is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and think about others.

In the spirit of giving, Scouts Canada will be focusing Giving Tuesday efforts on giving THANKS.

Every day Scouts Canada is humbled by the commitment of so many people who make great, safe Scouting adventures across Canada possible. Our Volunteers, staff, parents, funders, community partners and Scouts make Scouting in Canada a truly unique and special experience. Together, they help create lasting memories for youth across Canada.

This Giving Tuesday we encourage you to go online and give ‘Thanks’ to all the people that have made Scouting special or possible for you. Simply visit to give recognition to a Scouter, youth, parent, staff or community member that has impacted you, your child or community in a positive way. You can also join our online campaign by downloading the Scouts Canada’s Giving Tuesday social media poster to help you share your ‘Thanks’ online. Don’t forget to use the #SCGivingTuesday hashtag so we can share your post on Scouts Canada’s official Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. We will be retweeting your comments all day long!

Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for a huge thank you to all of our supporters!
