Top CEC Popcorn Seller

Aidan Rumble of the 27th Guelph Pack, Wellington Area, was the top seller in the Central Escarpment Council 2015 popcorn campaign.
The Go-Pro was presented to Aiden in front of the 27th Group at their recent Spring Registration event.
In the picture are Aidan Rumble and his brother Alex, as well as Popcorn Administrator Joyce Timmerman and Fundraising coordinator, Ruby Langdon for the 27th Group.

Changes to Trail’s End Sales History

Trail’s End will be launching a new website which integrates both the Popcorn Selling System (where you place product orders for in-person selling) and the online selling platform.


As we migrate to this new system, any section Scouter that has an existing account in the current Popcorn Selling System will be sent an email with their new username and password, as well as instructions for logging into your account at If you do not currently have an account in the Popcorn Selling System, work with your appropriate Council contact to have an account created. You will receive additional email notifications regarding login and systems training when the new site launches in June.


Most importantly, Trail’s End will NOT be migrating any past sales or order information from the Popcorn Selling System or the Online Selling System. Both platforms will be decommissioned on June 1, 2016.  Please download and save any sales or order information reports needed before June 1st. After June 1, 2016, you will no longer have access to download your past sales history.

Sears Canada Show ‘n Sell Opportunity

Hi everyone,

Hope that you have been enjoying this gorgeous weekend!

As our Groups begin another Scouting year, our Council has been given an opportunity to help Groups raise more money by selling Scout Popcorn in local Sears stores.
Scouts Canada has teamed up with Sears Canada to sell Scout Popcorn on Saturday, October 25th from 9am until 6pm.

This Show ‘n Sell opportunity is absolutely at no risk to our Groups.  Scouts Canada has already made the necessary arrangements with the Sears stores and our Council will provide the necessary popcorn.  Should there be any leftover product at the end of the day, we will it take back.  The Group just needs to enlist the help of their leaders, youth and parents.

In order to be fair, if there are more than one Group selling popcorn at a location, the total sales for the day will be shared.

Please forward the attached flyer to your Area announcing this Show ‘n Sell opportunity and any interested Group or Section should register by October 4th by sending me an email with their contact information, Group/Section, Sears location and times.

CEC’s 2014 Popcorn Show ‘n Sell

Show ‘n Sell is used by Groups to increase required funds to provide an amazing year-round program and assist our youth and families.  Groups should be reminded that it is not a replacement for our Fall Take Order fundraiser.

All Show ‘n Sell orders are due to me via email (debra@scouter.cano later than July 16th, with a pick up date of Saturday, August 23rd. We will advise the pick-up location and time before delivery. You’re invited to a Popcorn Workshop

Attached is a flyer for the Popcorn Workshop being held on May 31st with a RSVP of date of May 26th.  This does not replace the Council Popcorn Kick-off’s held in August/September; this workshop is to assist Groups organize and prepare for the fundraiser in order to provide a memorable Scouting year for our youth.
It’s more than just handing out the forms.  Get some tips and resources on how to get everyone engaged and raise the funds you need to run an outstanding program.

On behalf of CEC, I would like to thank everyone for another great year of Scout popcorn sales.

In order to ensure that the Scout Popcorn fundraiser helps you meet all of your Groups fundraising goals, Trail’s End and Scouts Canada, would appreciate hearing your feedback on the Popcorn program by responding to the 2014 National Scout Popcorn Survey. This survey is for leaders, youth members and their parents to express their experiences and help us determine what worked well and where we can make some changes and improvements.
